General

How to use jaw motion data from MODJAW in EXOCAD ?
Use “Jaw motion import” add-on module in your dental cad to be able to import and use 4D data from MODJAW. Please contact your reseller if your license does not have it.
I get an unexpected result after dynamic adaptation, why ?
  • Check that jaw movements are cropped to ensure an optimal design (motion cropping is done in TWIM software)
  • Check that the static occlusion is acceptable (areas with / without proximities, repartition, occlusal bite, absence of strong interpenetrations…).

SOFTWARE

Is it mandatory to install the TWIM software at the dental laboratory ?

TWIM software is not mandatory at the dental laboratory as the practitioner can export the files from TWIM software and send them to the lab for direct import in a CAD CAM software (see videos “Import MODJAW 4D Data in Exocad”, “Import MODJAW 4D Data in 3Shape”).
However, it is recommended using the TWIM software in the dental laboratories for further customizations and adjustments for a smooth dynamic design workflow. Some features the dental you can benefit in TWIM software as a dental technician :

  • Motion cropping
  • Choosing and exporting mandibular positions, based on patient’s motion
  • Occlusal curve adjustment
